Slightly off-topic for this website, but thought it was worth mentioning that there is a v2.58 software fix available for the Vestel T8300 Freeview HD boxes, badged using various brand names. See the service bulletin document for full details on how to manually apply the update (it looks like there will be no over-the-air update) and links to the software files. Those with boxes running v2.54 or older will find that they can only pick up a single HD (DVB-T2) mux, and with the COM7 mux rollout well underway, this means that the box has to be updated to v2.58 in order to pick up all the HD channels available. If your box has a USB port, the update process is easy - just a memory stick required. However, if yours doesn't have a USB port, the only way is via a SCART to RS232 cable which can either be made or purchased on eBay, and applying the update using a PC, preferably with a real serial port (some USB->RS232 adaptors can also be used).
